F450 Multirotor Drone
My first machine that chose to stay up - built from the frame out, mostly 3D-printed.
Built a complete F450 quadcopter from scratch - integrating the full hardware stack (flight controller, ESCs, brushless motors, GPS module and a FlySky radio link) and hand-tuning the PID loops until it held a stable hover with reliable signal. The dialled-in build reaches roughly a 20-minute flight time.
The majority of the airframe and component mounts were 3D-printed, so the platform could be iterated, repaired and re-balanced cheaply between test flights.
Layered computer vision (OpenCV, Python) on top of autonomous flight logic via ArduPilot - enabling real-time face recognition and subject tracking at ~90% accuracy, aimed at disaster-response search scenarios.
Designed and flown for the Gujarat State-Level Hackathon 2026.
