Behind the builds

Every build on this site passed through this room. This tour shows what that takes: a parts list, then a second one after the first proved wrong. Late evenings, probe in hand. Attempts that didn't hold, and the one that finally did.

Nothing here is staged. Boards get populated one pad at a time. Firmware gets flashed, fixed, and flashed again. Props get balanced until the wobble drops below what a finger can feel. Most of it fails first, more than once, before any of it flies. That's the part nobody photographs.

Soldering fumes, microcontrollers, messy breadboards, an oscilloscope showing whatever the current problem is, CAD models waiting to become objects. Everything on the bench is halfway to being something else. The room where a sketch becomes a machine.

A notebook sits in the middle of it, half flight-math, half ballpoint sketches: the two halves of how I think. The math checks whether a thing can fly. The sketches decide what it wants to be. Every build starts as an argument between those two pages.
